We waked up in the morning and we went straight to the beach, it was really amazing.
After we went for coffee as we promised to Cafe Potamos. So beautiful and so peaceful.
Here are some pictures.
Enjoy!
Everybody was drinking this, so I said why not, give it a try as well. Very popular in Crete.
Biral is a carbonated soft drink available since 1928.

In the afternoon we went to Lake Kournas, on our way we had a stop to another place called Georgioupolis.
Georgioupolis was a small fishing village, now is very much tourist town, with many cafés, tavernas and small hotels and apartment blocks. The town square is surrounded by outdoor seating used by tourists enjoying their drinks and ice creams.
Here are some pictures from Georgioupolis.
Agios Nikolaos is an islet with a church on the northern coast of Crete in the Aegean Sea. Ιt is located within the municipality of Georgioupoli in Chania.
Final destination Lake Kournas.
Crete's only freshwater lake, Lake Kournas, is relatively large, with a perimeter of 3.5 km. Although almost all touristic leaflets say that it is possible to walk around the lake, that is not true. At least not at the end of the rain season. There is a nature preserve on the Southwest of the lake. But there is a rustic road from the North of the lake to the Hills on the West of the lake too.
Here are some pictures of Lake Kournas.
Sfakiani pita is the most famous pie!
I had the most delicious cheese pie with honey ever.
Sfakiani pita is a thin pie which originates from Sfakia, Crete. It is something between a crepe and a pancake, filled with a delicious, soft cheese.
Definitely you must try it!
On our way back to Kalyves, we stop at Georgioupolis to see from close Cretan Traditional Dances.
Back to Kalyves for a last night walk!

On our way back to Kalyves, we stop at Georgioupolis to see from close Cretan Traditional Dances.
Traditional
Cretan Dances are danced by men and women, who wear their wonderful
Cretan costumes in formal events. They are either fast or slow, but
always vivid and imposing. When danced by groups of men, they remind of
the war dances of Curetes.
With the lyre or the violin as a guide,
accompanied by the lute and rarer instruments, dancers present the complex steps and the
first of the cycle, usually a man, performs skillful dance movements
called tsalimia.
Enjoy!Back to Kalyves for a last night walk!
